I was taking Laura, our daughter-in-law, to her radiation treatment in Nacogdoches last week. Danny (3 yrs), her son, was riding with us. He noticed the big plastic balls on the power lines. "What are those balls for, Nana?" I answered, "Those balls tell the airplanes not to come close to the wires." "Why, Nana?" "The wires would cut up the airplanes and they would crash." "OH" I went on to explain that the airplanes watch for those balls all over the place. "No, Nana," he explained to me, "the balls tell the pilots, not the airplanes."
