We never know what will happen from day to day at our house. I can plan to do one thing and before I finish my coffee someone has replanned my day. Buster planned to clean out his wood shop. It is a mess and needs to be done. I was telling him several things I would like for him to work on in his wood shop. I was going to put the last coat of paint on my kitchen. Then that project would be complete. In true time, the phone rang; Betsy wanted to know if Jayne (12 years) could come make a birthday cake in my kitchen. It is a surprise for her sister's birthday.
Buster went outside and looked around. His sister and her son came over for a visit. They are going through a hard time right now and needed a diversion. Buster decided this would be a great time to dig up all our bushes and move them. It was very pretty outside. With the extra help it would be a quick job.
Maybe next time we will get those other jobs done. For now, we are tired, our family was comforted for a little time, and Jayne got another beautiful cake made for her family.
